What data we collect
We do not ask you to register and we do not sell anything directly on this site, so we collect no names, addresses or payment details.
We collect aggregated, anonymous usage statistics: pages viewed, referring website, approximate country, device type and session duration. This helps us understand which recipes readers use most.
If you write to us by email, we keep your message and email address only for as long as needed to answer you.
Advertising and third-party vendors
This site is funded by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info.
Where required by law, personalised advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the same banner link in the footer.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics provided by our hosting platform to count visits and page views. These statistics cannot be used to identify you personally.
Legal bases and retention
We process aggregated statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the site, advertising cookies on the basis of your consent, and email correspondence on the basis of your request.
Aggregated statistics are retained in anonymous form. Email correspondence is deleted when it is no longer relevant.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Write to us and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows or as advertising partners change. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
